The TACS symposium focuses on the theoretical foundations of programming and their applications. TACS2001 is the fourth symposium, following TACS'91, TACS'94 and TACS'97, whose proceedings were published as Volumes 526, 789 and 1281, respectively, of Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. The proceedings of TACS2001 will also be published as a volume of Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science.
The invited talks and contributed talks at TACS2001 will be presented at the Aoba Memorial Building, Faculty of Engineering, Tohoku University, located at the Aoba Hill about 3 km west of downtown Sendai.
